Our Story
The story of Towne Auto Group is a journey of strategic expansion spanning over three decades. It began in November 1991 when founder Hal Somers purchased a single Mercury dealership.
After purchasing Flett Motors in 2000, the company underwent a pivotal transformation, adopting the official Ford Company, leading to a major relocation to Douglastown in 2003. This action firmly planted the dealership as a staple in the Miramichi community.
Driven by the ambition to compete in the import market, the group successfully purchased the Mazda store in 2006. This legacy of growth was further cemented in 2018 with the acquisition of the Chrysler store, establishing the Towne Auto Group as the successful and prominent organization it is today.

Towne Auto Group is proud to feature three distinct dealerships, each dedicated to providing a superior customer experience in the Miramichi Area.
Towne Ford, the group's flagship, has been a community staple since 2000, offering a comprehensive selection of quality vehicles, boasting one of the highest customer satisfaction ratings in the group.
Towne Mazda was added in 2006 to successfully compete in the import market, and it currently maintains the highest overall dealership rating.
Completing the successful multi-brand organization is Towne Chrysler, acquired in 2018, which allows the group to offer an expansive inventory of popular brands like Jeep and RAM.
